Dr. Hapney has continued to expand her base of knowledge and skill by completing hundreds of hours of continuing education at fine institutions across the nation including the renowned Dawson Academy in St. Petersburg, Florida. She is a sustaining member of American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Dental Society, American Orthodontic Society, American Academy of General Dentistry, Academy of Laser Dentistry, Dental Organization of Conscious Sedation, & International Academy of Facial Aesthetics. Dr. Hapney is a certified Invisalign and Clear Correct provider.

American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD)

Dr. Hapney is a Sustaining Member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. To be considered a sustaining member, Dr. Hapney has attended two of the last four AACD Annual Scientific Sessions, and has passed the Accreditation Written Exam (the first step in the accreditation process). Fewer than 500 dentists are Accredited Members, having met all of the requirements. Dr. Hapney is proud to be at the forefront of cosmetic dentistry and a sustaining member of the AACD.

Bay View Dental Lab

Bay View Dental Lab is a state-of-the-art dental laboratory located in Chesapeake, VA. Dr. Hapney has a strong relationship with this lab and uses them for most of her dental restorations. The level of communication between Dr. Hapney and Bay View Dental Lab is very high, ensuring that restorations are prepared to her exact specifications. All of the restorations that Bay View fabricates are made in the United States at their dental laboratory in Virginia.

The Dawson Academy

The Dawson Academy is a postgraduate educational research facility, dedicated to the advancement of dentistry. The principles taught at the Dawson Academy were developed by Dr. Peter E. Dawson, who believed that to operate a successful dental practice, the dentist must perform complete, quality and predictable dentistry. Dr. Hapney has taken and completed the core curriculum as well as most of the elective courses focusing on the latest advancements in restorative and comprehensive dentistry at the renowned Dawson Academy in St. Petersburg, Florida.
